Information you provide

• Account information: name, email address, password (encrypted), profile photo, and any account preferences you set.
• Campaign content: recipient names, occasion details, organizer notes, and any campaign metadata you create.
• Contributor content: video, audio, photo, and text submissions from contributors, including transcripts generated from those submissions.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Communications: any messages you send us via support, contact forms, or email.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction events to understand how the Services are used.
• Device information: browser type, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, and general location (country/region level).
• Cookies and similar technologies: for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can disable cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
• Process contributor submissions and generate the AI-directed tribute videos you create.
• Send transactional emails (campaign invitations, reminders, video-ready notifications).
• Improve the Services through analytics, debugging, and user research.
• Process payments and prevent fraud.
• Respond to your support requests and communications.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing

Reeliv uses artificial intelligence (including services from OpenAI and Anthropic) to analyze contributor submissions and generate tribute videos. Specifically:

• Audio submissions are transcribed via OpenAI's Whisper API.
• Transcripts and metadata are analyzed by Anthropic Claude to suggest narrative arrangements.
• These third-party providers process content under their own terms; we do not permit them to use your content to train their models.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With other campaign participants: contributor submissions are visible to the campaign organizer and included in the final tribute video.
• With service providers: hosting (Vercel, Supabase), email (Resend), payments (Stripe), and AI processing (OpenAI, Anthropic). These providers act on our behalf under contractual obligations.
• For legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• In a business transfer: if Reeliv is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer information as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain campaign content and contributor submissions for as long as the associated campaign exists. You can delete a campaign at any time from your dashboard, which removes the campaign and its associated contributions from our active systems. Some information may be retained in backups for up to 90 days for operational reasons.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@reeliv.net.

You can unsubscribe from marketing and reminder emails at any time using the link at the bottom of those emails. Transactional emails (account security, payment receipts) cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and access controls on our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Reeliv is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

Reeliv is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending you a notice via email or in the Services.
